"Used Car Transactions Made Easier" SKT Offers AI Price Inquiry and Trading on PASS App
[Asia Economy Reporter Seolgina Cho] SK Telecom customers will soon be able to easily check used car prices and conduct safe transactions through the identity verification application ‘PASS’.
On the 28th, SK Telecom announced the launch of a new service called ‘PASS Auto,’ which allows users to check used car prices and trade cars through the PASS app.
‘PASS Auto’ is designed to enable safe used car transactions based on the security of the ‘PASS’ app, which can be registered and used on only one mobile phone under the user’s name. It fundamentally blocks the registration of false listings by users and helps sellers and buyers conduct trustworthy non-face-to-face transactions.
Users of ‘PASS Auto’ can use the service after registering their vehicle as an asset by entering their car number and model year once.
In the ‘Price Inquiry’ section, users can register up to three vehicles with information such as mileage, photos, and accident history to check the used car prices of their owned models and receive price fluctuation updates via app push notifications. In ‘Sell My Car,’ users can view bids from dealers interested in purchasing their vehicle and select their preferred dealer. Through ‘Buy My Car,’ users can choose the best listings based on desired car models or purchase budgets.
SK Telecom applied an artificial intelligence (AI) model to ‘PASS Auto’ by collaborating with the B2B used car trading platform Car Manager and fintech security company Aton. This AI model analyzes big data of used car listings completed over the past six years. It calculates estimates based on information entered by customers, such as vehicle color and accident history, helping to minimize the margin of error with actual transaction prices.
