[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on the 27th that the Seoul Regional Headquarters will officially launch the 'Comprehensive Package Support Project for Companies Located in Paju Publishing Culture Information National Industrial Complex.'
This support project for the Paju Publishing Complex is being promoted to assist small and medium-sized publishing companies struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The Paju Yangju Branch of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Industrial Complex Corporation conducted a business demand survey targeting small and medium-sized publishers in the Paju Publishing Complex and prepared support measures based on the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's '2019 National Reading Survey' results.
This support project will be implemented as a package for companies located in the Paju Publishing Complex, including reimbursement for audiobook production costs, promotional marketing for publications, training for publishing professionals, and job matching for recruiting companies.
Among the companies in the Paju Publishing Complex, publishers interested in audiobook production will be supported with production costs up to 5 million KRW. The completed audiobook content will be comprehensively supported through collaboration with the Publishing Culture Industry Promotion Agency and audiobook distribution platform companies for online and offline distribution and promotion, as well as specialized education related to audiobook production.
The Seoul Regional Headquarters of the Industrial Complex Corporation will recruit participating companies for the comprehensive package support project for companies in the Paju Publishing Complex until the 15th of next month.
