At the Democratic Party's Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 27th, Floor Leader Lee said, "From today, the difficult supplementary budget review begins," and added, "Since we have started the supplementary budget review, I hope the United Future Party will boldly and generously engage in the review and speed up the process."
He emphasized, "The payment of the emergency disaster relief funds must be completed by mid-May at the latest. It is time to give hope to the people through a swift review," and urged, "I hope the budget can be processed by the 29th, the day before the long holiday starts on the 30th."
He continued, "Overcoming the national crisis is a real battle. There is no rehearsal and no exception," and said, "A special law for tax reduction on disaster relief funds must also be enacted," adding, "An amendment to the Korea Development Bank Act is necessary to revive key industries and prevent additional corporate bankruptcies. Before the 20th National Assembly's term ends, both ruling and opposition parties must stay alert."
