[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Kim Dong-wook, CEO of Golden Blue, a liquor specialist company, will participate in the 'Flower Bucket Challenge' on the 27th to help flower farmers struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The Flower Bucket Challenge is a relay campaign where participants purchase flower baskets themselves and pass them on to the next nominee to support flower farmers and related organizations facing crises due to the cancellation of various events such as entrance ceremonies amid the COVID-19 situation. It started in Jeju Island in February and is spreading nationwide.
On the 23rd, CEO Kim joined the Flower Bucket Challenge after being nominated by Jo Woo-hyun, CEO of Daesun Joojo, and plans to deliver a flower basket to the next nominee on the 27th with a hopeful message, "We look forward to Busan's vigorous leap along with the fragrance of flowers."
CEO Kim said, "I am glad to participate in this campaign conducted for a good cause, and I hope that the collective will to overcome COVID-19 can bring comfort and courage not only to flower farming groups but also to local small business owners," adding, "During these difficult times, I hope that by working together, hope will bloom and bright energy will fill Korean society soon in our weary daily lives."
