In March, LG HelloVision’s broadcasting and internet subscribers returned to net growth after one year. The number of new subscribers increased by more than 30% compared to January and February. LG HelloVision explained that this achievement was made amid the stagnation of all industries due to the spread of COVID-19. Prior to this, LG HelloVision applied LG Uplus’s ‘Idleul Nara’ to Hello TV as a ‘trigger’ for net subscriber growth in broadcasting services. ‘Idleul Nara’ is killer content that overwhelms competing services among parents with young children and becomes the ‘standard for subscription choice.’ Additionally, by enabling access to Netflix, YouTube, and others, the range of consumer choices was greatly expanded.
