Daewon C.I. Goes to Europe... Signs MOU with Delcourt, France's No. 2 Comic Publisher
Export of Comics and Webtoon Content Between the Two Countries... Plans to Expand to Web Novels in the Future
[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Daewon Media's comic publishing subsidiary Daewon C.I. is entering the European comic and webtoon market.
Daewon C.I. announced on the 24th that it signed a strategic business partnership (MOU) on the 20th with Delcourt, the second largest company in the French comic publishing market, to expand the comic and webtoon markets between Korea and France. Through this, both companies plan to continuously introduce their popular content to readers in each country.
Delcourt is a French comic publishing company established in 1986. It has merged with or invested in publishers (Soleil), distributors (Delsol), and graphic studios (Trait pour Trait). Its own webtoon platform 'Verytoon,' scheduled to launch in September, will be serviced across various European countries.

Hwang Minho, Vice President of Daewon C.I., said, "Globalizing Daewon C.I.'s content and expanding exports are key strategic tasks," adding, "Through this MOU, we plan to introduce Daewon C.I.'s popular comics and webtoons to the European market and expand into other fields such as web novels in the future."
