WHO "Japan Changes COVID-19 Death Reporting Method"

In the COVID-19 situation report dated the 22nd, WHO stated, "From the 22nd, Japan changed its reporting method to include both deaths that have been fully verified and confirmed, as well as deaths currently undergoing verification."
It added, "The noticeable increase in the number of deaths reported in Japan is due to this change."
However, WHO did not explain why Japan changed its death reporting method.
