MINI Launches 306-Horsepower High-Performance 'MINI JCW Clubman' in Korea
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Premium compact car brand MINI Korea officially launched the 'MINI JCW Clubman,' the most powerful performance model within the brand, in Korea on the 23rd.
MINI's high-performance brand JCW (John Cooper Works) boasts dynamic driving performance with the addition of the tuning program by 'John Cooper,' a pioneer in motorsports. MINI created this model to deliver driving pleasure based on decades of racing expertise, from consecutive wins at the Monte Carlo Rally in the 1960s to recent victories at the Dakar Rally.
The MINI JCW Clubman returns with upgraded performance. Equipped with a new 4-cylinder JCW TwinPower Turbo engine, it delivers a maximum output of 306 horsepower, an increase of 75 horsepower compared to the previous model, and a powerful maximum torque of 45.9 kg·m. Additionally, it features an 8-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission that provides a sporty driving experience, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds.
Furthermore, the MINI JCW Clubman is equipped with a JCW-exclusive aerodynamic kit including a sports suspension, sports exhaust system, side scuttles, and rear spoiler, maximizing the dynamic driving feel. The MINI-exclusive all-wheel-drive system 'ALL4' and high-performance brake system are also applied, combining excellent agility and propulsion. This allows for stable braking and handling even in dynamic driving situations.
The exterior of the MINI JCW Clubman has evolved with a charismatic appearance. The front features a larger honeycomb grille, which, along with the additional radiator and redesigned large cooling air intakes applied to support the enhanced engine output, emphasizes a sporty atmosphere.
Other differentiating features from the previous model include newly designed angular side mirror caps that improve aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, 19-inch JCW forged alloy wheels with clearer and simpler surface treatment, full LED Union Jack rear lights, and sleekly designed tailpipes and bumpers that emphasize the vehicle's width and presence.
The MINI JCW Clubman emphasizes convenience and driving pleasure by incorporating various features suitable for a high-performance model. Wireless Apple CarPlay, which allows iPhones to connect wirelessly to the vehicle for convenient use of various functions, has been newly applied.
Customers can choose from six colors, including the JCW-exclusive color Rebel Green, Midnight Black, and Thunder Grey. The price is 57 million KRW (including VAT, with individual consumption tax reduction applied).
To commemorate the launch of the 306-horsepower MINI JCW Clubman, MINI Korea offers various benefits to JCW buyers this year. First, purchasing a JCW model comes with a welcome package that includes Merola driving leather gloves, a driving program package at the MINI Driving Center, and a JCW heritage brochure.

Additionally, a total of four JCW Owners Track Days will be held at the MINI Driving Center located in Yeongjongdo exclusively for JCW owners. During the track days, customers can drive their vehicles on the track and safely experience the performance of the MINI JCW on the track.
