Members of the Gwangjin District Council (Chairman Go Yang-seok) also joined this effort by donating 2.3 million KRW to support residents struggling due to COVID-19.
On the 22nd, before the opening of the 233rd extraordinary session, the Gwangjin District Council delivered the donation to the Gwangjin District Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters to help overcome the COVID-19 crisis.
The donation was collected through contributions from all 14 council members, who came together to assist residents facing difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The funds will be used through the Gwangjin Welfare Foundation to support disaster-affected families in the area and to revitalize the local economy.
Chairman Go Yang-seok said, “I hope the small sincerity of the Gwangjin council members can become a great hope for someone in need,” and added, “Even amid the COVID-19 crisis, the Gwangjin District Council will take the lead in spreading positive influence throughout Gwangjin by holding the hands of our neighbors who are struggling.”
