Jeju Air to Operate Charter Flight to Cebu on 23rd to Transport Filipino Residents
Additional charter flights scheduled for the 28th and 29th
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Jeju Air announced on the 22nd that it will operate a charter flight at Mactan Cebu International Airport on the 23rd to support the return of overseas Koreans staying in the Philippines.
According to Jeju Air, the charter flight will depart Incheon Airport at 8:30 a.m. (local time) on the 23rd as a ferry flight (a flight operated without passengers or cargo on board), arriving at Cebu Airport at 12:00 p.m. It will then depart Cebu Airport at 1:00 p.m. and arrive at Incheon Airport at 6:30 p.m.
This charter flight was arranged in consultation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Cebu and the local Korean Association, with a total of 189 passengers on board. Jeju Air will also operate additional charter flights on the 28th and 29th.
Koreans boarding the charter flight will undergo a fever screening at Cebu Airport before departure. Only passengers with a body temperature below 37.5 degrees Celsius will be allowed to board, and masks must be worn on board. Hand sanitizer and masks will be provided to passengers.

A Jeju Air official stated, "We are currently discussing additional temporary flights with local embassies and Korean associations in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines and Thailand," adding, "We will make every possible effort to help our citizens stranded locally return home."
