Naju City Holds 'Agricultural Products Sponsorship Ceremony'
Company-Wide Implementation of 'Kind Mask Sharing Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) announced on the 22nd that it is conducting support activities nationwide by purchasing agricultural products worth 140 million won from farms facing economic difficulties due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and delivering them to welfare institutions.
On the same day, together with Naju City in Jeollanam-do Province, KEPCO held an 'Agricultural Products Sponsorship Delivery Ceremony' at the Naju Indoor Gymnasium, purchasing agricultural specialties worth 20 million won grown by farms in Naju City, whose sales channels were blocked due to COVID-19, and delivering them to 35 welfare institutions.
KEPCO also donated 15 million won from the Love Fund, which was voluntarily raised by employees, and delivered cotton masks made together with volunteers to sister villages of Naju City and foreign students at local universities.
KEPCO is also promoting the 'Good Mask Sharing Campaign' to stabilize the supply of public masks. This campaign involves donations through sponsorships from local governments, individuals, and companies, as well as voluntary participation in making cotton masks by citizens and social economy organizations.
