Cheong Wa Dae: "No Unusual Internal Developments Identified in North Korea" (Update)
Blue House Spokesperson Cautious About Kim Jong-un's Health Rumors... Government Authorities Also Say "No Unusual Signs"
[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] The Blue House has stated that there are no unusual developments regarding rumors about the health issues of North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.
Kang Min-seok, spokesperson for the Blue House, told reporters on the 21st, "Regarding the recent reports by some media outlets about health concerns of North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un, there is nothing to confirm, and so far no unusual activity has been identified within North Korea."
Earlier, the US CNN cited US officials reporting on the health rumors of Leader Kim. However, no clear evidence supporting the health concerns of Kim Jong-un was presented. Although some media reported related content, there are also criticisms that detailed information about Kim’s personal matters, considered top secret in North Korea, raises suspicion rather than clarity.
There are some questions regarding Kim’s recent movements, but nothing beyond the level of speculation has been confirmed.
