[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 21st, the Minsheng Party urged the Moon Jae-in administration to "actively consider temporary tax reductions such as corporate tax cuts that companies are burdened with," adding, "Of course, given the urgent situation, this should be implemented decisively for all companies."
Through a statement on the same day, Minsheng Party spokesperson Jung Woo-sik said, "According to the Korea Customs Service on the 21st, exports from April 1 to 20 decreased by 26.9% compared to the same period last year," and added, "The novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is already affecting not only small and medium-sized enterprises but also large export companies."
Spokesperson Jung emphasized, "The biggest issue at present is jobs," and said, "The government needs a more bold change in thinking. It should first approach from the perspective that companies require."
