Wando-gun plans to invest 68 million KRW this year to support installation costs within the budget for households installing solar power up to 3 kW, solar heat up to 20㎡, geothermal up to 17.5 kW, and fuel cells up to 1 kW.
The support targets are residents of Wando-gun who own houses located within the jurisdiction and have been selected for the ‘2020 New Renewable Energy Housing Support Project’ by the Korea Energy Agency.
Applications to the Korea Energy Agency have been accepted year-round since the 13th and will continue until September 6.
Households wishing to apply must sign a contract with a participating company selected by the Energy Agency in 2020, then submit required documents such as a certified copy of the register and proof of identity, and apply through the online Green Home website.
Lee Ki-seok, Director of the Economic and Transportation Division, said, “As climate change and fine dust problems become more serious, we plan to continuously expand the housing support project to create a low-carbon green city.”
