Government to Announce Social Distancing Guidelines Starting Tomorrow (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The government will unveil a draft of quarantine guidelines for daily life social distancing starting from the 22nd.
Yoon Tae-ho, head of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters' quarantine team, stated at a regular briefing held at the Government Sejong Complex on the morning of the 21st, "We will sequentially release the quarantine guidelines so that people can learn in advance and apply them in daily life to prepare for the implementation of social distancing in daily life."
The government will release a draft of basic rules for individuals and groups on the 22nd, and on the 24th, it will disclose detailed draft guidelines by type for frequently encountered living environments or facilities. Yoon, the head of the quarantine team, said, "After collecting opinions from stakeholders and reviewing by the Living Quarantine Committee, the guidelines will be finalized and distributed."
To ensure smooth implementation of follow-up measures to social distancing, the government will establish dedicated organizations within each ministry and local governments and discuss institutional support measures through an inter-ministerial task force (TF).
