Kia Motors Launches New YouTube Channel 'KyaTV'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kia Motors will launch a new YouTube channel, ‘KyaTV by Kia Motors,’ on the 21st.
Kia stated that it will transform its existing ‘Kia Motors’ channel into the ‘KyaTV’ channel to communicate with more customers in the digital environment using the YouTube platform and to provide customers with various indirect experiences to enjoy Kia vehicles.
The channel name ‘Kya’ is both the sound made when quickly pronouncing ‘KIA’ and an exclamation used when feeling refreshed and good. Kia explained that it chose this friendly-sounding channel name considering the preferences of YouTube subscribers who prioritize information and entertainment.
Kia plans to present various series content that can be enjoyed not only by prospective and current Kia customers but also by anyone who loves cars, even if they do not own a Kia vehicle.
A Kia representative said, “Recently, offline communication with customers has decreased due to social distancing campaigns, but we want to communicate more closely with customers through online platforms like YouTube. We will strive to present fun and useful content that customers want from their perspective.”
