The North Face Launches 'Ecoti Collection' for Earth Day
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] The global outdoor brand The North Face, operated by Youngone Outdoor (CEO Ki-hak Sung), announced on the 21st that it is launching the "Eco T Collection," which uses recycled PET bottle fabric, and is conducting an eco-friendly campaign including the release of a video on the correct method of PET bottle separation and disposal.
Having led the fashion industry's "plastic reduction movement" through last season's launch of the Eco Fleece Collection, which recycled approximately 3.7 million 500ml PET bottles, The North Face continues to promote the positive value of plastic recycling and develop products linked to energy resource savings and greenhouse gas emission reductions through the Eco T Collection this season as well.
The Eco T Collection is released in over 30 diverse styles featuring graphics of marine animals and endangered species known to be threatened by plastic pollution, reminding consumers of the value of protecting the Earth and preserving species, while also expanding consumer choices.
The representative product, the Challenge Water Short Sleeve Round T-shirt, features graphics of marine animals threatened by plastic such as seahorses and octopuses, and is available in five colors including refreshing Limeade and Powder Blue, each applied to different products.
The "Challenge Short Sleeve Round T-shirt," which highlights drawings inspired by The North Face’s brand philosophy of "Never Stop Exploring," uses lightweight and breathable eco-friendly yarn to provide a comfortable fit, and has antibacterial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria and germs to protect the skin. It comes in four colors: Neon Green, Purple, Ivory, and Black.
The "Go Green Sweatshirt," featuring graphics of endangered animals such as the Lesser Panda and Eurasian Eagle Owl, is available in five colors?Poppy Red, Ivory, Melange Gray, Black, and Navy?each with different animal graphics. The product offers a comfortable fit with a semi-loose fit that matches recent fashion trends. A green short sleeve round T-shirt suitable for summer wear was also released.
