Jungnang-gu to Provide Up to 1 Million Won in Closure Support Funds for Multi-Use Facilities
888 Local Businesses Including Academies and Sports Facilities Apply, Expected to Help Small Business Owners
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will provide closure support funds to multi-use facilities in the area.
The targets are academies, sports facilities, karaoke rooms, PC rooms, etc., that participated in social distancing due to COVID-19.
To implement strict social distancing, the district recommended the closure of sports facilities, academies, and other establishments in the area, fully canceled major events where many people gather, and suspended programs operated by community service centers and welfare facilities.
The recommended closure period is from February 24 for academies and private institutes, and from March 27 to April 5 for sports facilities. Multi-use facilities that participated in the closure will receive support funds of 100,000 KRW per day, up to a maximum of 1,000,000 KRW.
A total of 888 multi-use facilities applied for the closure support funds, which is one of the small business support policies due to COVID-19, with an application rate of 73.5%.
Before the full-scale payment of support funds, the district guided the application for closure support funds through the district website, mail, and text messages. The closure support funds will be finally deposited into the representative's account in April after verifying closure certificates issued by the Dongbu Office of Education, business card slips, PC room login records, etc.
