View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 20th at 3:30 PM, Roh Hyun-song, Mayor of Gangseo-gu, visited the Gangseo-gu Vocational Rehabilitation Center, a vocational rehabilitation facility for the disabled, along with Park Neung-hoo, Minister of Health and Welfare, to observe the mask production site and encourage facility users and workers in celebration of Disabled Persons Day.
On this day, Mayor Roh Hyun-song and Minister Park Neung-hoo received an explanation about the mask production process from facility officials and toured the workplace.
They also met with disabled workers participating in mask production to carefully check if there were any inconveniences and listened to the field difficulties from the facility staff.
Mayor Roh Hyun-song said, “I thank the disabled workers who have contributed to mask production despite the mask shortage,” and added, “We will do our best to ensure that disabled workers and facility staff working on the front lines of mask production do not experience any discomfort.”

The Gangseo-gu Vocational Rehabilitation Center was designated as a ‘Severely Disabled Product’ by the Ministry of Health and Welfare in 2012, the first for mask items, and currently, 16 severely disabled individuals are participating in mask production.
