Kyungpook National University Decides on 'Online Classes' for First Semester... Graduate School to Discuss Later

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Kyungpook National University announced on the 20th that it will conduct all classes for the first semester of this year online to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The university held a policy meeting on the morning of the same day with about 10 participants, including President Kim Sang-dong and key headquarters officials, and decided accordingly. For experimental and practical subjects that require face-to-face classes, as well as general graduate schools, an additional policy meeting will be held on the 21st to discuss further.
Earlier, the deans of academic affairs from seven universities in the Daegu area, including Kyungpook National University, Yeungnam University, Keimyung University, Daegu University, Daegu Haany University, Daegu Catholic University, and Kyungil University, reportedly held a separate meeting on the 17th and reached a consensus on conducting all first-semester classes online.

Meanwhile, Kyungpook National University had previously extended the period for 'online lectures' four times, finally postponing it to May 3rd, following the Ministry of Education's policy in March.
