View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Korea District Heating Corporation (KDHC) announced on the 20th that it will enter an emergency management system to overcome the crisis caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
KDHC formed an 'Emergency Management Task Force' and held a kickoff meeting on the 17th.
This measure comes in response to the economic crisis caused by the global spread of COVID-19, which has led to sharp fluctuations in international oil prices, financial market instability, and a slowdown in the real economy, inevitably resulting in reduced sales and profits.
The goal is to minimize risk factors and stabilize the collective energy market.
President Hwang Chang-hwa will lead the task force. Through working-level meetings by division, they plan to prepare a 'comprehensive scenario-based plan' that includes detailed measures for crisis response as well as alternatives for fulfilling public functions.
