"Red Pen Homeschooling" KT Increases Support for Elementary Learning Content
[Asia Economy Reporter Koo Chae-eun] KT has partnered with Kyowon Group to exclusively offer over 150 educational content pieces for kindergarten and elementary school students on KT Kidsland from the 20th of this month until the end of next month. This is the first time Kyowon Group's premium educational content is provided through IPTV.
Olleh TV subscribers can freely access more than 150 VODs through the Kidsland menu, including about 90 core special lecture contents for all elementary school grades from Smart Red Pen and about 40 Book Cinema contents from 'Allstory,' the largest domestic children's book brand. KT hopes that customers with elementary school children will find it easier to educate their children at home, from curriculum learning to reading, by utilizing Kyowon's top-tier educational content.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, KT has been operating 'Kidsland TV Homeschool' on Olleh TV since the end of February to support homeschooling for families with young children. This themed section was initially scheduled to operate until the end of March, but due to the indefinite postponement of nationwide kindergarten openings, it will continue until the kindergartens reopen. KT plans to provide Kyowon Group's elementary learning content until the end of May, but will consider extending the period depending on the COVID-19 situation and online learning circumstances.
