Gangseo-gu Hosts 'Banggu-seok Gayoje' Using Online Platform
Applications accepted until the 30th, open to all youth nationwide... Final 3 selected as Jin, Seon, Mi with certificates and prizes awarded
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) announced that it will hold the ‘Bang-guseok Gayoje’ to allow teenagers, who have been feeling frustrated due to social distancing caused by COVID-19, to express their talents and relieve stress.
The youth harmony event ‘Bang-guseok Gayoje’ is operated on an online platform, providing a stage where teenagers can freely showcase their talents and skills without restrictions of time and space.
In particular, by utilizing the advantages of the online platform, the participation scope has been expanded from local teenagers to nationwide teenagers, and for safety reasons, the scope is limited to ‘home,’ which is the biggest difference from previous events.
‘Bang-guseok Gayoje’ is open to any teenager aged 9 to under 19 years old.
Teenagers who wish to participate should send a singing video of up to 5 minutes along with the application form via email (gs-youth@hanmail.net) by the 30th of this month.
The application form can be downloaded from the Gangseo Youth Center website (gs-youth.or.kr).
The eligible category is solo performance of popular songs using MR (Music Recorded) audio tracks.
The district office will use the online platform ‘YouTube’ from May 1 to May 10 to gather and share opinions from many citizens, and select the top 10 participants who receive the most ‘likes’ in the first round.
Then, professional judges will evaluate the entries and select the final three winners as ‘Jin (眞)’, ‘Seon (善)’, and ‘Mi (美)’, awarding certificates and prizes in the name of the Gangseo District Mayor.
The awards ceremony will be held online using the video application ZOOM along with the announcement of the final results on May 15.
Mayor Noh Hyun-song said, “We created a moment to smile even briefly, escaping from the frustrating and difficult daily life caused by COVID-19.” He added, “We look forward to the active participation of teenagers with overflowing talents and skills.”
