The 17 metropolitan and provincial offices of education nationwide announced on the 20th that the 2020 Equivalency Test will be postponed once more to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). This exam postponement is the second delay, moving the originally scheduled exam date of the 11th to the 9th and then to the 23rd of next month due to the extension of social distancing measures. Depending on the future trend and situation of COVID-19 spread, the revised schedule may be readjusted again after June.

Each metropolitan and provincial office of education will announce the exam locations and important notes for test takers on the 8th of next month. Restrictions on test takers and safety guidelines will be provided as "Important Notes for Test Takers," which candidates must check without fail. Successful candidates will be announced on June 16th through the education office websites.
