[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Hyundai Mobis is introducing a 'hybrid recruitment' method this year, combining regular open recruitment and continuous hiring. This is to expand the narrow job market caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and to secure outstanding talent early.
On the 20th, Hyundai Mobis announced a recruitment notice and stated that it will conduct open recruitment for new employees in the first half of this year. Applications will be accepted until the 5th of next month, followed by aptitude tests and interviews for hiring. To prevent the spread of COVID-19, non-face-to-face methods such as online aptitude tests and video interviews will also be utilized during this recruitment process.
In particular, this year, new employees will be prioritized in the regular open recruitment held in the first and second halves of the year linked to graduation timing, and continuous recruitment will be conducted when business divisions require customized talent. By combining regular open recruitment and continuous hiring, the company expects to secure outstanding talent throughout the year, while job seekers will be provided with stable employment opportunities. Hyundai Mobis had continued recruitment centered on regular open recruitment but abolished it last year and switched to continuous hiring.
The recruitment process will also change significantly. Hyundai Mobis is preparing online aptitude tests (HMAT) and video interviews. Since these stages will take place in May and June, the company plans to proceed with recruitment prioritizing the safety of applicants and employees while monitoring the spread of COVID-19.
