Gyeongnam Province Hosts 2020 Gender Equality Content Contest...Accepting Entries in UCC and Webtoon Categories
A Total of 12 Outstanding Works Selected
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Gyeongsangnam-do (Governor Kim Kyung-soo) announced on the 20th that it will hold the '2020 Gyeongsangnam-do Gender Equality Content Contest' to create a healthy local community where individuals can demonstrate their abilities and talents regardless of gender.
Hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do and organized by the Gyeongsangnam-do Gender Impact Assessment Center, this contest is divided into UCC and webtoon categories. There are no restrictions on eligibility, and participants can enter as individuals or teams.
The submission period is until the 15th of next month, and the winners will be announced on June 12 through the websites of Gyeongsangnam-do and Changwon University (the entrusted institution of the Gyeongsangnam-do Gender Impact Assessment Center). The screening and awards ceremony will be held on June 30.
The contest themes include ▲ Gender confrontation and conflict issues in our society and their solutions ▲ Elements of gender discrimination and gender stereotypes in daily life ▲ Gender equality in everyday life such as family, school, and workplace ▲ Practical cases of the gender impact assessment system ▲ Different experiences and characteristics of men and women ▲ The necessity of policy establishment reflecting socio-economic gender gaps ▲ Discovery of historical female figures in Gyeongsangnam-do and lesser-known historical facts related to their achievements.

The winning entries will be awarded as follows: one grand prize and one excellence award team each in the UCC and webtoon categories (combined general and youth divisions), and for the merit and encouragement awards, two teams each (one general division and one youth division), totaling 12 teams will receive certificates and prize money.
