Lotte Food's 'Del Monte Binggwa' to Grow as a Leading Fruit Ice Cream Brand
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] Lotte Foods announced on the 20th that it will promote Del Monte as a leading fruit ice cream brand by launching the ‘Del Monte Shine Muscat & Green Grape Ice Bar’.
Del Monte ice cream products, launched in 2018, are Lotte Foods’ premium fruit ice cream brand. They feature a high juice and fruit content, a refreshing fruit flavor, and a luxurious texture in harmony. Del Monte ice cream products sold about 20 million units during the peak season last year, and sales have increased by more than 70% compared to the same period last year, gaining popularity every year.
Lotte Foods plans to continue introducing Del Monte ice cream lines applying a premium fruit concept. The new product, Del Monte Shine Muscat & Green Grape, is the first ice bar in Korea using Shine Muscat, which has been very popular since last year.
Containing grape juice, it offers a rich fruit flavor and includes coconut jelly to enhance the chewy texture. In particular, emphasis was placed on expressing the unique flavor of Shine Muscat, which allows consumers to enjoy both the aroma of mango and the sweet and sour taste of grapes simultaneously.

With the launch of the new product, the Del Monte ice cream lineup now consists of seven types: three bars (Mango, Peach, Shine Muscat & Green Grape), one cone (Mango & Cream), one pouch (Mango), and two home products (Mango, Grape). Lotte Foods plans to actively nurture the Del Monte brand through continuous product introductions aligned with trends.
