Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station Launches 'Emergency Support' for Fire-Affected Residents
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Gwangsan Fire Station in Gwangju has launched emergency support to help residents affected by fire quickly stabilize their lives.
According to the Gwangsan Fire Station on the 19th, the fire station provided emergency relief supplies such as daily necessities sets, 20kg of rice, and powder fire extinguishers to residents affected by an apartment fire that occurred on the afternoon of the 14th.
They also offered support through an emergency recovery team for debris cleanup at the fire damage site, notified related organizations for temporary housing and emergency welfare support, issued fire damage certificates, and provided guidance on fire insurance enrollment.
The Fire Damage Victim Support Center operates annually to provide prompt damage recovery and relief supplies to victims who have lost buildings and household goods due to fire and are in distress.
Since 2017, the Gwangsan Fire Station has distributed emergency relief supplies 20 times, conducted over 400 support activities, and provided 412 basic firefighting facilities.
