Hong Kong Legislature Approves COVID-19 Response Support Plan Worth 21 Trillion Won
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] The Hong Kong Legislative Council has approved a support bill worth approximately 21 trillion won to overcome the economic shock caused by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to the Hong Kong media South China Morning Post on the 18th, the Legislative Council passed the support plan worth HKD 137.5 billion (about 21.5 trillion won) with 41 pro-China lawmakers in favor, 22 opposition lawmakers against, and 2 independents abstaining.
