The Changwon District Prosecutors' Office Criminal Division 2 (Chief Prosecutor Kim Won-ji) announced on the 17th that they have arrested and indicted A (21), an employee of a confectionery company, on charges of violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse, among other charges.
According to the prosecution, A is accused of producing child sexual exploitation videos three times by instructing a female child (estimated to be 9 years old), whom he met through YouTube on September 6 and 7, 2019, to perform obscene acts via KakaoTalk, and then posting these videos in a Telegram group chat last February.
The prosecution estimated the victim girl's age to be 9 years old.
Additionally, it was investigated that from January 10, 2017, to February 25, 2020, A downloaded a total of 711 obscene materials involving children and juveniles from Twitter and dark web sites and sold them 57 times.
