Damyang-gun to Provide Temporary Living Support Funds to 2,451 Low-Income Households
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 17th that starting from the 20th, it will provide the ‘Temporary Living Support Fund for Low-Income Households’ to stabilize the lives of low-income families struggling due to the spread of COVID-19.
The support targets 2,451 households receiving basic livelihood security benefits and legally designated lower-income groups. The fund will be distributed differentially based on eligibility and household size without separate application or investigation, with approximately 1.33 billion KRW provided in Damyang Love Gift Certificates.
For livelihood and medical benefit recipients, 520,000 KRW will be given to single-person households, 880,000 KRW to two-person households, 1,140,000 KRW to three-person households, and 1,400,000 KRW to four-person households.
For housing and education benefit recipients and lower-income groups, 400,000 KRW will be given to single-person households, 680,000 KRW to two-person households, 880,000 KRW to three-person households, and 1,080,000 KRW to four-person households.
The gift certificates will be distributed according to the payment schedule at the local town and township offices, adjusting the schedule by eligibility and village to encourage participation in ‘social distancing’ measures against COVID-19 and to prevent congestion.
In Damyang-eup, recipients can collect the certificates at NH Nonghyup Damyang Branch and Damyang Nonghyup (Head Office, Chuseong-ro Branch, Nambu Branch, Central Branch) by presenting a receipt and identification card.
