Yeongdeok-gun's Special 'Drive-in Theater' ... Inviting Children for 'COVID-19' Psychological Healing
On March 2nd, Lee Hee-jin, the mayor of Yeongdeok County, held a briefing announcing that mild COVID-19 patients from the Daegu area would be treated within Yeongdeok County.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk announced on the 14th that it will operate a drive-in theater by inviting 20 families with elementary school children to the parking lot of Yeongdeok Women's Center on the 23rd and 27th.
The Yeongdeok-gun Youth Counseling Welfare Center explained that this event was prepared as a psychological healing measure for children’s families exhausted by the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
The movies to be screened are two films, "Aladdin" and "Billy Elliot," running from 7:30 PM to 10 PM. A screen measuring 11m wide and 6m high will be installed in the parking lot, which can accommodate 25 cars.
The center is accepting applications on a first-come, first-served basis from about 20 families who wish to watch until the 20th. Participants will also be provided with free kimbap and popcorn. For more details, contact the Yeongdeok-gun Youth Counseling Welfare Center.

Meanwhile, since two people were confirmed positive for COVID-19 before February 28 in Yeongdeok-gun, no further confirmed cases have been reported.
