Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service Appoints Yang Jun-hyuk as Ambassador... "A Reliable Symbol of Hope"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service announced on the 13th that it has reappointed former baseball player Yang Joon-hyuk (photo) as its public ambassador for this year. The service has maintained its relationship with Yang since first appointing him as an ambassador in 2015, continuing for six years.
The service explained that Yang's image aligns with the organization's image as a reliable pillar of hope for working people, which led to his appointment as a public ambassador.
Yang, chairman of the Yang Joon-hyuk Baseball Foundation, holds an annual charity baseball tournament, using the proceeds to support scholarship programs and youth baseball teams from vulnerable groups. He also participated in social donation campaigns, including donating 10 million won related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Going forward, Yang plans to engage in various promotional activities such as filming promotional videos, recording audio tracks, and giving lectures to raise awareness about the service and its projects.
