Minsaeng Party: "Proportional Representation Allocation Should Be Suspended Until Constitutional Court Ruling"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 13th, the Minsaeng Party stated that the allocation of proportional representation seats should be suspended until the Constitutional Court issues a ruling on satellite parties.
Choi Do-ja, the chief spokesperson of the Minsaeng Party, said in a statement, "The Minsaeng Party has filed a constitutional complaint requesting the cancellation of the party registration approvals of the Deobureo Civic Party and the Future Korea Party."
Choi added, "There is just over a month left until the start of the 21st National Assembly. The 21st National Assembly must not begin with representative democracy being undermined," and "Considering the seriousness of the issue where democracy in the Republic of Korea is being violated, we request the Constitutional Court to promptly issue a ruling."
