IKEA Korea Launches 'Healthy Earth, Starting Together at Home' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] IKEA Korea announced on the 13th that it will carry out the campaign "Healthy Earth, Let's Start Together at Home," which helps sustainable living in everyday life.
This is IKEA's global campaign conveying the message that the importance of sustainability and small actions by people bring positive changes to the Earth, and it has been conducted worldwide since last year.
IKEA Korea selected "Better Products for People + Planet" made from reused and recycled materials and attached the "Green Dot" label. For example, the Holbar waste sorting solution, Tiphede flat weave rug, and Gunrid air-purifying curtains are new products selected as Better Products for People + Planet. These products are available at all IKEA Korea stores (Gwangmyeong, Goyang, Giheung, Dongbusan) and online store.
Additionally, IKEA introduced sustainable activities that can be easily practiced in daily life, such as saving energy, eating vegetarian, and air-drying laundry, and launched the "IKEA Better Living" app where users can record their own practices.
To encourage many people to practice sustainability, the "Everyone is an Environmental Activist Challenge" event will be held for one month starting from the 16th of this month. Among participants who post sustainable activities through the app and receive many sympathies, 100 people will be awarded IKEA gift cards worth 50,000 KRW.
