[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] LG Electronics has launched an offensive in the business projector market following its success in the home projector market.
On the 13th, LG Electronics announced the launch of a new business projector brand, ‘LG ProBeam,’ and released its first new product domestically. The home projector, ‘LG CineBeam,’ continues to hold the number one market share in South Korea.
LG ProBeam features a screen size of up to 300 inches (diagonal length of 762 cm) with 4K UHD resolution. This is about four times clearer than the WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, which holds the largest share in the business projector market.
The maximum brightness of LG ProBeam is about 5,000 ANSI lumens, equivalent to lighting 5,000 candles simultaneously. It is equipped with a laser light source that lasts approximately 20,000 hours, up to four times longer than conventional lamp light sources. LG ProBeam offers a maximum contrast ratio of 3,000,000:1 and supports HDR10 functionality, which makes bright areas brighter and dark areas darker, delivering vivid images.
Considering the varied sizes and shapes of meeting rooms, LG ProBeam is equipped with various screen adjustment features. The product can stretch or shrink the screen at a total of 12 points along the screen edges, providing a more precise and straight image. Notably, the screen size can be enlarged up to 1.6 times, and the lens can be moved up, down, left, and right, allowing projection onto the desired position without moving the device.
LG ProBeam comes with a built-in web browser, enabling internet access without connecting a PC, as long as wired or wireless networks are available. It also includes software such as Office Viewer and Video Viewer, allowing users to view documents like PPT and Excel files or videos stored on a USB drive. Using LG ProBeam’s screen share and screen mirroring functions, users can share the screens of IT devices running the Android operating system in real time.
The operating noise level is as low as 29 dB, quieter than the noise level in a library. With compact dimensions of 370 mm in width, 290 mm in height, and 143.7 mm in depth, it can be installed neatly.
Customers can purchase LG ProBeam through consultation and quotation inquiries on the LG Electronics B2B website.
