Mid-Range Tablet 'Galaxy Tab S6 Lite' Launch Imminent
10.4-inch Tablet with S Pen... Launched at Around 500,000 KRW
5G-Supported Model Expected for Domestic Release
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The launch of the mid-range 10-inch tablet 'Galaxy Tab S6 Lite' is imminent.
According to industry sources on the 10th, domestic online retailers are preparing to sell the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite, and it is expected to be released after mid-month. The Galaxy Tab S6 support page has also been opened on Samsung Electronics' German website.
The Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is part of the flagship S series lineup but is released at a mid-range tablet price by lowering the specifications. Instead of an AMOLED display, it features a 10.4-inch LCD display, and is equipped with the Exynos 9611 chipset used in the Galaxy A51 and Galaxy M30S.
The strength of the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is its competitive price. While the Galaxy Tab S6 (128GB) was launched at around 900,000 KRW, the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is priced in the 500,000 KRW range. It has higher specifications than the Galaxy Tab A series and also supports the S Pen. The camera is 8MP on the rear and 5MP on the front. It has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The battery is 7040mAh, the same as the Galaxy Tab S6.
It is expected to be released as a 5G model in Korea. Although it is before the launch, some online sellers have listed the product specifications indicating it is a 5G model. However, overseas markets such as Europe may only see LTE and Wi-Fi models released.
