'AI + IoT' Samsung C&T New Platform... Applied to Banpo 3rd District
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Jiwon] Samsung C&T has developed the 'Raemian A.IoT Platform,' which analyzes residents' lifestyle patterns to provide customized living environments.
According to Samsung C&T on the 8th, the Raemian A.IoT Platform combines artificial intelligence (A.I) and the Internet of Things (IoT) technology, representing an advanced evolution from existing IoT platforms.
Samsung C&T explained that this technology will be introduced to 'Raemian One Pentas' in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul (Shinbanpo 15th Reconstruction), and Banpo Jugong Complex 1, 3rd District, where bidding is currently underway.
Samsung C&T collaborated with Samsung SDS to connect an artificial intelligence system to the home IoT platform. Therefore, this platform can analyze residents' lifestyle patterns and suggest or automatically execute customized environments familiar to customers.
While existing systems performed functions where users controlled settings using home pads or mobile devices, the newly developed A.IoT platform is characterized by automatically controlling the environment preferred by residents when leaving or returning home through pattern analysis.
For example, if a resident leaves without turning off the induction stove, the existing IoT system allows the power to be cut off remotely using a smartphone. However, the A.IoT system either notifies the resident that the induction stove is still on or automatically turns off the power.
