[Asia Economy Reporter Heo Midam] Hwang Kyo-ahn, leader of the United Future Party, said on the 3rd, "The Moon Jae-in administration is a disastrous regime," adding, "Reviving the dying economy is the most urgent task."
At 11 a.m. that day, Hwang climbed onto an election campaign vehicle in Changsin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and said, "Since the Moon Jae-in government took office, our country has begun to collapse. The economy is deteriorating, but this government claims the economy is improving," criticizing, "No matter how you look at it, there is no sign of economic improvement, which is truly hard to endure."
He also pointed out the current administration's employment policy, saying, "As the economy worsens, jobs are disappearing. Those suffering from this are our sons and daughters," and added, "Only short-term part-time jobs have increased. Employment is in a state of collapse."
Then, shouting for judgment against the Moon administration, Hwang emphasized, "We must achieve a landslide victory in this general election to create the livable country we dream of," and stated, "We must change this government's economic failures, income-led growth, and flawed economic policies."
Additionally, Hwang proposed a special zone for the sewing industry as a pledge for Jongno. He said, "There are many sewing factories in Changsin-dong," and emphasized, "Our party will establish a special zone for the sewing industry. We will make the sewing industry trigger a second sewing revolution."
