[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] Glosent announced on the 3rd that it has launched a contactless order payment service called ‘Igeo Meogeulkka’ to support small business owners struggling due to COVID-19.
The QR smart order service Igeo Meogeulkka allows customers to comfortably order and pay while sitting at their table without needing to go to the store counter at cafes or restaurants. Customers simply scan the QR code attached to the store table with their smartphone. There is no need to stand in line or wait for staff while seated at the table. It features a simple payment function familiar from online use and requires no separate app installation?just scan the QR code with the smartphone camera.
As an additional feature, notification messages are sent to both users and store owners to confirm accurate orders, and when the ordered food is ready, a notification message replaces the vibrating bell to alert the user. By scanning the QR code once to place an Igeo Meogeulkka order, the favorite function automatically registers the store as a regular spot, allowing future orders without scanning the QR code again.
Customers can place takeout orders by ordering in advance before visiting the store and picking up packaged products at the store, and can also order delivery from their office or home. Takeout and delivery orders are sent to the store owner via notification messages.
