[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) reported 2 additional confirmed COVID-19 cases on the 2nd.
The confirmed cases, Mr. ○○○ (resident of Yeokchon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, male, in his 70s) and Mrs. ○○○ (resident of Yeokchon-dong, Eunpyeong-gu, female, in her 60s), are a married couple who visited their child living in S?o Paulo, Brazil from February 9 to March 19. After returning, they stayed at home until April 2. They were tested at the Eunpyeong-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 1st and received a final positive diagnosis around 10 a.m. on the 2nd.
These confirmed patients have been transferred to Eunpyeong St. Mary's Hospital, a nationally designated isolation facility.
Disinfection of the confirmed patients' residence and surrounding areas has been completed. Additional information confirmed through epidemiological investigation will be disclosed on the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.

Mayor Kim Mi-kyung of Eunpyeong-gu stated, "Although the number of COVID-19 confirmed cases is decreasing and the situation is calming, it is not yet safe to be complacent. We ask all residents to postpone personal appointments and refrain from company gatherings, actively participating in the 'social distancing campaign' to prevent further spread." She also urged, "If overseas travel is unavoidable, please strictly observe a 2-week self-quarantine period after returning."
