Korea Airports Corporation Launches 1st In-House Venture... UV Sterilization System and Air Cargo Logistics
Support for Project Funding, Office Space, and Expert Matching
[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Korea Airports Corporation announced on the 1st that it has officially launched the first internal venture to revitalize the aviation industry and foster new businesses.
Korea Airports Corporation previously selected excellent ideas feasible for commercialization through an internal contest in 2018, and after a final evaluation this year, it selected two projects: ▲ Development and sales business of UV-plasma sterilization system ▲ Aviation logistics platform business utilizing idle airport facilities.
The UV-plasma sterilization system business focuses on maximizing sterilization functionality by combining the advantages of UV-LED and plasma. The aviation logistics platform business is expected to inject new vitality into the globally stagnant aviation sector through logistics exchange.
Accordingly, Korea Airports Corporation plans to support the internal ventures with 140 million KRW in business funds, new office space, expert matching, and opportunities for specialized training.
