KCCI-Sosangyeon Sign MOU for 'Good Consumer Movement' to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] The Korea Employers Federation and the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises have signed a 'Good Consumer Movement Business Agreement' to support small business owners struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the morning of the 31st, the Korea Employers Federation (hereafter KEF) and the Korea Federation of Micro Enterprises (hereafter KFME) held a signing ceremony for the business agreement to expand the 'Good Consumer Movement' at the 8th-floor conference room of the KEF building. The Good Consumer Movement is a campaign where customers prepay at small businesses such as regular restaurants that are struggling due to COVID-19 and promise to revisit later.
The signing of the agreement was made as KEF accepted KFME's proposal to participate in the Good Consumer Movement, and through this agreement, the two organizations promised to strengthen opinion exchange and cooperation going forward.
Son Kyung-sik, Chairman of KEF, said, "We have joined together to encourage the courage of small business owners who are facing difficulties in sales and cash flow due to COVID-19 and to provide practical help," adding, "We will use this agreement as an opportunity to encourage our companies to actively participate in overcoming the crisis faced by nearby small business owners."
