Two Overseas Arrivals Test Positive for COVID-19 in Daejeon
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Recently, two Daejeon citizens who arrived from Spain and the United States respectively were diagnosed with COVID-19 during their temporary quarantine.
According to Daejeon City on the 31st, A (male, in his 30s, #35), residing in Wolpyeong-dong, Seo-gu, recently returned from Spain, and B (female, teenager, #36), residing in Gwanjeo-dong, Seo-gu, returned from the United States. Both entered the country on the 29th and were quarantined.
After traveling from Incheon International Airport to Daejeon Station by quarantine bus and a dedicated train, they stayed at a temporary quarantine facility (Youth Training Center) set up in Chimsan-dong, Jung-gu, where they were diagnosed with COVID-19 during quarantine.
The city explained that A and B had no other movement after returning and had no close contacts.
The temporary quarantine facility where they are staying is being used as a temporary overseas arrivals quarantine facility and currently accommodates 18 people.
