The hope boxes were prepared to help vulnerable students, who are having a difficult time due to the impact of COVID-19, protect their health and safety before the start of the semester and to alleviate feelings of relative deprivation and anxiety.
On the same day, the Office of Education mailed hope boxes containing masks, vitamins, and infectious disease prevention guidelines to 277 students who are heads of households or in foster care within the province.
