Gwangju Buk-gu Supports Funding for Public Issue Improvement Ideas
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) announced on the 30th that it is recruiting youth groups to participate in the ‘Youth Challenge Infinite Imagination Project,’ which supports project funds for realizing ideas for youth until the 3rd of next month.
The eligible participants are youth groups or gatherings of three or more people residing in or active in Buk-gu, with more than 80% of the members being youth.
The application fields are divided into four designated themes: ▲ Activation of Buk-gu Youth Center ▲ Activation of Youth Culture ▲ Improvement of Youth Issues ▲ Startup Items, and a free theme for public interest activities for regional development. Additional points are given when applying under designated themes.
Buk-gu will select about four groups and support up to 5 million KRW per group.
At the end of the year when the project is completed, a report meeting will be held with participating groups and youth to share achievements, and excellent projects will be reflected in district administration.
To participate, refer to the Buk-gu Office website and submit all application documents in person to the Education Support Division of Buk-gu Office.

Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “I hope this project will serve as an opportunity to induce youth participation in the local community and improve local public issues through fresh ideas,” and added, “We ask for active participation from youth who are active in the region or interested in district administration.”
