According to Changwon City, Mayor Heo visited major Jinhae tourist spots such as the fully closed Gyeonghwa Station, Yeojuacheon Stream, Jehwangsan Park, and Anmin Hill from the 23rd to the weekend of the 29th, focusing on inspecting the control measures for visitors and vehicle access.
The city is vigorously cracking down on illegal street vendors and illegal parking with the police, local residents, and enforcement specialists to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Continuous disinfection efforts are also being carried out to fundamentally block external inflow of COVID-19.
In particular, Mayor Heo carefully examined the conditions of on-site workers and visitor access control to minimize inconvenience to nearby residents caused by the full closure of Yeojuacheon Stream. He expressed gratitude, noting that the suggestion from residents near Yeojuacheon to wear access necklaces before the blooming season has been a significant help in this control effort.

Mayor Heo emphasized, "Although the Gunhangje Festival was canceled and major tourist sites were closed, I was very worried that many visitors would still flock to Jinhae this year, as more than 4 million visitors came last year. We must actively promote the social distancing campaign and strictly observe the golden time to prevent the spread of COVID-19."
