[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] Lee Byung-hoon, the Democratic Party preliminary candidate for the 4·15 general election in Dong and Nam Districts (Eul), Gwangju Metropolitan City, has formed a one-team election campaign and pledged to win.
On the 29th, Lee announced that he appointed Kim Hae-kyung, former adjunct professor at (former) Nambu University who competed in the party primary, as the overall campaign committee chairman, and Kang Shin-gi, former Planning and Coordination Officer of Gwangju Metropolitan City, as co-campaign committee chairman.
At the election campaign, Lee held the launching ceremony of the ‘Together for Victory Election Countermeasures Committee’ and pledged to win the 4·15 general election with a one-team spirit for the Democratic Party’s victory and the successful governance of the Moon Jae-in administration in its second half.
The event was held with only the minimum number of attendees, including the co-campaign committee chairmen and city and district council members, in accordance with the ‘social distancing’ principle, and participants sat as far apart as possible in a calm atmosphere.
Lee said, “Overall Campaign Committee Chairman Kim Hae-kyung and Co-Campaign Committee Chairman Kang Shin-gi are assets of the Democratic Party and will carry out many activities for political development and regional advancement in the future,” adding, “They have rich experience from the financial sector and administrative fields, respectively, and are expected to play a role for a prosperous Republic of Korea and a greater Gwangju.”
