View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Homeplus announced on the 29th that it will sell the low-sugar rice cooker ‘Bokuk Cooks Club LowLow Low-Calorie Mini Rice Cooker,’ which reduces concerns about carbohydrate intake.
This LowLow Low-Calorie Mini Rice Cooker discharges the starchy cooking water during the cooking process, reducing carbohydrates by up to 27% compared to white rice cooked with a regular rice cooker. It is perfect for 1-2 person households who worry about controlling carbohydrates and calories.
The secret to carbohydrate reduction lies in the ‘low-sugar tray’ not found in regular rice cookers and the country’s only ‘carbohydrate reduction tray cover.’ During cooking, the starchy cooking water containing carbohydrates is discharged into the inner pot through the holes at the bottom of the low-sugar tray. The carbohydrate reduction tray cover collects the cooking water that condenses and drips from the main lid after cooking is complete, preventing the starchy cooking water from falling back onto the rice.
The method of cooking low-sugar rice is simple. Place the low-sugar tray on the Teflon-coated inner pot, add washed rice, adjust the water, then place the ‘tray cover’ on top and just press the cook button. The practical 1.6L size is designed for 1-2 person households and comes with a rice paddle, measuring cup, and silicone handle, making it ideal as a main rice cooker for single-person households or as a supplementary rice cooker in a regular household kitchen. It can cook low-sugar rice, regular rice, porridge, and keep food warm. The detachable cover and packing make cleaning easy.
This product has passed international and national accredited inspections for carbohydrate content and harmful substances. The carbohydrate content of the low-sugar white rice is certified by the internationally accredited inspection agency SGS, and tests for environmental harmful substances PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and PFO (perfluorooctane sulfonate) confirmed non-detection through the nationally accredited testing research institute KOTITI Testing & Research Institute.
The sales stores are 11 locations including Gangseo, Geumcheon, Bucheon Sangdong, Ansan, Gimhae, Chilgok, Ganseok, Seongseo, Dong Gwangju, Gaya, and Ulsan.
