On the March 27 broadcast of MBC's 'Gongbuga Meoni?' (Studying is Money?), comedian Kang Sung-beom's son, Kang Han-gyeol, appeared.
Kang Sung-beom shared that now that Han-gyeol is in the first year of middle school, his worries as a father have truly begun.
In the broadcast, Kang Sung-beom said, "I used to be a chatterbox, but these days I have many concerns about educating my two children." He graduated from Chung-Ang University’s Department of Theater and Film and added, "I thought that once I had a child, I could teach them well using my own know-how."
Contrary to Kang Sung-beom’s expectations, guiding Han-gyeol’s studies was not easy. Han-gyeol confidently said, "If I study for just three days, I can be first in the entire school," but it was only talk.
Han-gyeol also boasted about his dream of becoming a soccer player, saying, "I can go to Barcelona. I can earn 8 billion won in salary."
Kang Sung-beom worried, "I didn’t tell him to study and just left him alone, but if he continues like that, he won’t even master the basics." He also shared his concerns about his son’s career path, saying, "I sent him to soccer classes, but he had no talent."
A soccer expert, after evaluating Kang Han-gyeol’s skills, said he would need more than ten times the effort compared to others, but Han-gyeol surprised his father by changing his dream, saying, "I want to become a professional gamer."
Test results showed that he is an optimist, a type like a "reckless Don Quixote." The expert explained, "Generally, I tell all students and parents not to compare themselves to others, but in this case, it is necessary to objectively look at reality and motivate oneself by recognizing 'this is where I actually stand.'"
